 Bret Schlanger is a nationally experienced construction and storm restoration expert with more than 15 years of experience in the roofing, construction, and catastrophe recovery industries. Over the course of his career, Bret has consulted on and helped execute more than $500 million in construction and restoration projects, giving him deep expertise in complex builds, large-scale storm damage recovery, and construction dispute analysis.

Bret has worked major storm events and disaster recovery efforts across the United States and the Caribbean, including Washington, D.C., Virginia, South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Colorado, California, Florida, and Puerto Rico. His experience spans residential, multi-family, government, and commercial construction, with a focus on storm damage evaluation, restoration strategy, and project execution in high-pressure environments.

In addition to his extensive field experience, Bret is frequently retained as a plaintiff-side expert witness in construction and insurance litigation, where he has provided expert analysis and testimony in dozens of trials. His ability to translate real-world construction practices into clear, defensible expert opinions has made him a trusted authority in complex property damage and construction disputes.

 Joey is a fifth-generation roofer with a lifetime in the industry. He started his first roofing company at just 15 years old and went on to lead and operate his family’s roofing business for 30 years. Over the course of his career, he has overseen more than $900 million in completed work and responded to 34 major storm events, helping communities rebuild when they needed it most. Decades of hands-on experience, leadership, and storm restoration expertise have shaped his commitment to quality, resilience, and getting the job done right.
